How To Get Here
Unique and Collectable Koh Samui attractions to explore:
Big Buddha: The Big Buddha is located on the northeast corner of Koh Samui, known locally as Wat Phra Yai. The 12 meters tall golden Buddha statue was built in 1972, and is visible from several kilometers away and remains the most famous landmark people see when arriving or leaving the island by air.
Hin Ta Hin Yai rocks: A famous scenic view point, Hin Ta and Hin Yai, or Grandfather and Grandmother rocks, are strange natural formations resembling male and female genitals. The spot is located at the end of Lamai beach, offering an unusually beautiful rocky beach with a spectacular ocean view.
Hin Lad Waterfall: Koh Samui's most popular waterfall. A two-kilometer stunning jungle path leads you from the main road to the waterfall set in an evergreen rainforest setting. Hin Lad Waterfall has several levels with a cool pool for a fresh water swim.
Lad Koh Viewpoint: Just a 3-minute drive from Vana Belle, Lad Koh also known as "Zenith Viewpoint" is located on route 4169 between Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beach. This Koh Samui landmark is nicely built with a path toward the rocky sea shore offering a breathtaking sunrise and a panoramic ocean view over the whole Chaweng bay area.
Laem Sor Pagoda: Laem Sor Pagoda is near the fishing village of Ban Laem Sor along the southern coast of Koh Samui. The entire structure is covered in countless small yellow tiles, an impressive sight if viewed from a distance, looking as if made of solid gold. To the west of the chedi is a small grove of mangrove trees, also known as the "Meditation forest".
Lamai's Natural Musuem: This is a place where old utensils and housewares tell stories of the ways Samui locals of the distant past lived. These exhibition items are shown in a long, 2-story wooden building in a temple compound. Open daily from 08.00am - 05.00pm. No entrance fee.
